In 2004 , the Rapeneau Family decided to create the ultimate exception in Champagne : the only Clos as a Chateau in Champagne with the 6 varietals authorized by the appellation : the classic Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier and the forgotten: Arbane, Pinot Blanc and Petit Meslier. Arbane is an ancient grape native to the Aube which is characterized by its vivacity. The Pinot Blanc gives a limpid and shiny wine. Finally, Petit Meslier is an old Champagne grape variety where aromas of lime and violet are revealed. The expression of the blend and the sublimation of this mono cru are the main aims of the birth of this rare bottle in Champagne.

The only Clos,
of the only castle in champagne

This cuvée is composed equally of 6 grape varieties including those of yesteryear which are brought back to light. The Clos du Château combines tenderness thanks to the generous coloured fruit and rigor of the soil with a frank connection. A solar power is felt while the tannic sensation is noble, which directs the finish towards pretty mouthwatering bitters.
